FAQ

Wanting to book? First tattoo? Queries about the artist? Hopefully this helps.

  • Where are you located?

I have my private studio in Louisville, Colorado, with the shop address being sent to my clients when we book an appointment.

  • What do you charge?

My rates are a minimum of a half day (up to 3 hrs) at $600, and a full day (up to 6 hours) at $1000.

  • How long do tattoos take?

Generally, a palm size is about two hours of work, but depending on the complexity, this can change. A full sleeve can be anywhere around 4-8 sessions. I can usually give an idea once I know the project, but it can vary.

  • Does it hurt?

Yes it does, with the best comparison being a cat scratch on a sunburn. It varies by location, but I will work with your pain tolerance to make sure you do not push yourself too hard. However, I suggest picking the place you really want the tattoo. The pain lasts only as long as the appointment, but if it’s where you really want it, it will be worth it!

  • Do you reject tattoo design ideas?

To make sure I do the best artwork for you, I do look at each proposal individually. There are a few locations, tattoo styles, and subjects that I won’t accept, as they are either not in my style, or in a location I don’t tattoo. I do not tattoo fingers, genitals, and inside lips, as they often do not heal correctly. I do not tattoo script, and will not accept requests to replicate designs by other artists. For the foreseeable future, I will not be accepting designs on the mid back and rib area, as my neck health issues are greatly aggravated by the positions I have to be in to tattoo these spots. Please know that if I turn down your request, it does not lessen importance of the meaning and idea you have. You are valid and special, just like your tattoo.

  • What if I don’t know what I want?

This requires a quite a bit more artistic freedom on my end. If you have an idea, I can design the tattoo based on that. If you have no idea, it may be better to wait until you can decide on either a placement, size, and/or general subject matter. Your other option is to be extra flexible, and I can design something completely unique for you!

  • Will I get to see my design?

I do not send out designs before your appointment, so you will see your design on the day! Generally, my styles, which are abstract or flowing, are drawn or edited directly on my clients, which allows for the best fit. This also means you won’t know exactly what it will look like until the day. I do specifically leave time on the day for us to make sure you love the design before we get to tattooing.

  • When can I schedule?

**MY BOOKS WILL OPEN MARCH 16th 2024**

I try to open my books twice a year for 24 hours each time. I will be opening my books for one day to allow for design proposals. Most accepted designs will be put on a waitlist to keep from scheduling too far out. This will allow for better scheduling and fewer reschedules. I will be a lot more selective this round as far as what projects I will be accepting (details to come).

These appointment proposals are not first come first served, (so no need to send your request exactly when they open to be the first) so make sure to read through the FAQs and fill out the form completely.

When my books are open, the scheduling form will be available on my site to send in your ideas. If the form is not accessible, it means my books are closed until the next scheduling day.

All of this is to make sure you have the best artwork, so thank you for taking the time to read through!
